DIARY: PS LORRY
driver's son Kenney Jones
Daily Mail; London, Apr 23, 2003
PS LORRY driver's son Kenney Jones, former
drummer of The Who and now a polo fanatic, will be host to the Prince of
Wales next month for a few chukkas in his back garden.
Charles has agreed to play at pounds 3
million Hurtwood Park, which Kenney, 54, built next to his
Surrey home.
The Prince will join Kenney's team, together
with supermodel Jodie Kidd and fellow veteran rocker Mike Rutherford of
Genesis.
However, Charles will not be sporting the
team's shirt - which has sponsors of the event, upmarket travel company
Kuoni, emblazoned on it.
Kenney's wife Jayne tells me: 'Charles isn't
allowed to be seen to be promoting a commercial undertaking, so he won't be
wearing the T-shirt.'
