The James McMurtry Band recorded two consecutive nights at the Zephyr Club in the hopes of getting a live album out of it. They played extensive sets both nights, running well past Mormon Rules (1 a.m. closing time) each night. I helped arrange a live appearance at KRCL on the morning of the 17th, and came along to take a few photos while they played a half hour set.

After the radio show, I met up with Ronnie Johnson to give him a copy of Alan Merrill's latest CD (Double Shot Rocks, on which Ronnie sings), and to chat with him about his time with Ronnie Lane.
